What'll Ya Have?!

We went to Athens, GA to spend the 4th with some friends from college,
Liz and Mike. We had a great time hanging out in their new house and
going to see UGA's campus and downtown Athens. What a cool city!

On our drive back, we stopped at The Varsity for lunch in Atlanta. In
case you're like me and have never heard of the place, it's a fast
food place where the cashiers taking your order yell, "what'll ya
have?!" really fast and loud until you order. Chris got a cheeseburger
and I got chili dogs (I can already feel the heartburn). Not amazing
food but a definite must-do for the tourist.

We left Wilson at home and got a doggysitter, so we're ready to get
back to our puppy.

Liz and Mike, it was so great to see you! It had been too long and I'm
glad we'll at least see you a couple times in the next 6 months... Now
come visit Nashville!

Chris Scott for President... of Post Processing Bragging Rights.

Bragging rights are on the line and we need your help. Adrienne and I have a bit of a wager about the post-processing of a particular photo from tonight's session, so we decided we'd leave it up to you guys to decide which looks better.
So we'll get to that in a minute. In the meantime, check out a few of the shots we got of the ridiculously gorgeous Kristen and Tom tonight, whom you may recognize from their wedding we shot a few months back.

So I think you know the deal by now... click on them, they're bigger and better and louder that way. Ok, maybe not louder.

And now the photo in question. Leave your vote in the comments, then in a week-ish we'll let you know which one is mine (hint: it's the better one) and which one is Dri's (hint: it's the really stinkin' good one, but not as really stinkin' good as the other one) and which one you guys thought was better. Vote for number 1 or number 2.

Meghan and John

We spent a few hours laughing our butts off with Meghan and John tonight, which was a welcome relief from the *horrible* mood I had been in all day today. I guess that's a good sign that I'm doing what I should be doing; just getting out and shooting and laughing and getting to know another couple brought me out of the funk I had been in all day long.

Here are just a choice few to hold you over until we post the gloriousness that was the shoot with Meghan and John. Seriously, the sunset we had tonight, plus this gorgeous couple... it was ridiculous.

Oh, and in case you hadn't heard, if you click on these, you'll get 7 years of good luck... and they'll look bigger and better. When you're done with the clickin', leave a comment.

Meet Meghan and John, they're good lookin'.

... and they're fun, too!

... and Meghan has the same ring setting as Adrienne... go John!

Got this sexy one on top of a parking garage in Hillsboro Village. Notice that Meghan is rockin' the U of Memphis flip flops. =)

What did I say about that sunset?!? Gah!

That's all for tonight. Oh, I totally lied... what do you think of the new blog header? Here's a hint, I love it. Ok... that's all for tonight.

i try to open Christmas presents early, too...

I'm terrible about surprises. I either give away the surprise or I want to know what the surprise is before it's "time"; it's a wonder that I didn't pop the question to Adrienne two days before the plan just because I couldn't resist any longer!

So I'm the same way as I'm editing through weddings, I'll come across a shot or two that I just absolutely love and feel the need to post it to the blog.

Right. Now.

This is one of those shots. I love this shot.

Let's See How Often Dave and Alicia Stalk the Blog.

It's 1:11pm on Monday. When will they notice I've posted their engagement photos?

This One's Fun...

Alicia and Dave make me feel free to experiment with new ideas. I may end up loving the resulting image, or hating it... either way, I feel comfortable trying new ideas with them and their images, and that, I love.

With that in mind, here's a tilt-shifty shot from their engagement session a couple of weeks ago... still not sure how I feel about it, but I'm leaning toward, "that's pretty freakin' cool."

You have to click on this one to get the full effect.

The Invites

Adrienne toiled over the Gocco for a few hours today and knocked out all of the wedding invitations! After we get some more screens, bulbs and ink, we're going to tackle the RSVP cards, transportation info cards and the reception info cards. They're looking great!

Resting after a long day of Gocco-ing.

Edit.

That's pretty much all I'm doing right now... editing. We've got a couple of weeks until we go out to Memphis to shoot Kim and Alan's wedding, but until then it's the occasional bridal portrait, engagement session and maybe a newborn session interspersed between hours upon hours of editing. No real point to this post except that I wanted to put this triptych up of Nathan and Sarah Beth Brown that I came across tonight. We freakin' love these two, they were a TON of fun and were open to giving us a bunch of time to play around with on their wedding day... oh, and it doesn't hurt that they're drop dead gorgeous either. =)

Go ahead, click on it, I dare you. In fact, I double-dog-dare you to leave a comment when you're done.
That's right, double-dog-dare...

Anyway, I'm running on 3 hours of sleep, I should probably stop typing and fight Wilson for a spot in the bed.

I can't believe I pulled out the double-dog-dare... it's definitely bedtime,
chris.

You should drop whatever you're doing right now and go see Wanted. It was awesome.
